Puppy Love: GoFundMe Community Lends Elora the Therapy Dog a Helping Paw
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., August 4, 2016 -- On July 23, Des Moines residents Josh and Kailan Wing turned to GoFundMe to raise $2,000 to pay for surgery after their 2-year-old daughter’s therapy dog Elora fell and broke her hip.
It didn’t take long for the GoFundMe giving community to spring into action. They reached their goal of $2,000 in just one day, making sure they could get Elora back on her feet.
We love it when the GoFundMe community answers the call and helps out our four-legged friends. This is just the latest example of folks in Iowa coming together and helping out a member of their community in a time of need.
