To help others also going through cancer treatment, Kyla is fundraising to put together Chemo & Radiation Survival Kits. As a cancer patient herself, Kyla knows what helps during chemo, and she’s using the holiday season to give back to other kids who are fighting cancer.

With over 36,000 kids in foster care in Los Angeles, it’s tweens and teenagers who are often forgotten around the holidays, with most toy drives geared towards younger kids. The “Give Something Bike” campaign is changing that. Last year, they put brand-new bicycles, helmets, and locks in the hands of 105 foster children. This year, they hope to brighten the holiday for at least 106 foster kids.

Pronounced “Red Gold Green” and recently featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, RDGLDGRN woke up to a touring band’s nightmare when in Oregon: thieves had used bolt cutters to break into their trailer and steal over $17k worth of equipment and instruments. Fans and community members rushed to support RDGLDGRN, and so far they have raised over $18k to help the band get back on the road.

Café Racer is a beloved fixture in Seattle, providing a welcoming place for musicians and artists. The cafe was reopened after it was the scene of a terrible mass shooting in 2012, but financial troubles are threatening the cafe’s future. In just over a week, more than $27k has been raised to keep Café Racer’s doors open.
