On Christmas night, Oregon State Trooper Nic Cederberg (32) was shot multiple times at close range while engaging a murder suspect, who died during the confrontation. Nic sustained life threatening injuries, and is currently in the intensive care unit at a Portland hospital. Campaign organizer and Nic’s brother Jeff writes in an update: “I'm hear to tell you [Nic] is the toughest person I know and those who've seen him would agree.”
Ashley Walker is a student at Chicago State University, majoring in Chemistry and double minoring in Physics and Math. Ashley found herself in a nightmarish situation when she discovered that the Social Security Administration had declared her dead, due to a mix-up with her recently deceased father. With her credit score plummeting, the U.S. Department of Education withdrew Ashley’s financial aid. Through this GoFundMe, Ashley has raised over $7,000 to help her continue her studies.

Mr. Bruington is a dedicated wood shop teacher who lost all of the tools, equipment, materials, and books in his shop after a fire set by three former students. His wife started this GoFundMe to help him get the teaching materials he needs for his 120 students this trimester. In a recent update, Janet Bruington writes, “We are so grateful for all of the generosity and support from our community, family and friends!”
San Diego, CA
To give the San Diego startup community better access to opportunities and capital, investor and entrepreneur Mike Krenn has started this GoFundMe to raise money for a localized business hub in Silicon Valley. In less than a month, more than $100,000 has been raised, including $20,000 from Mayor Faulconer and the City of San Diego.
Teddy Patrick is known all around Vancouver as our beloved singing Costco clerk. Everyone who comes into contact with Teddy feels his positivity; he is a ray of sunshine. Most people know him for his beautiful voice - many local Costco shoppers come just to hear his melodies and kind words. After Teddy’s car was stolen, the local community rallied to raise $15k for a new car.
