Seattle Father Starts New Campaigns to Erase School Lunch Debt After Successful GoFundMe

After Eliminating Lunch Debt for All Seattle Schools, Jeff Lew Starts Campaigns to Do the Same for Districts in Renton and Tacoma

Redwood City, California | May 17, 2017 — Jeff Lew, a Seattle father of three children, has started two new campaigns to eliminate school lunch debt in Washington state after his first GoFundMe raised more than $24,000—more than enough to erase the debt for the entire Seattle Public Schools district. His new campaigns aim to erase the debts of all students in Renton and Tacoma districts.

In his campaign, Lew says, “As a parent and graduate of the Seattle Public Schools, I am trying to help ease the burden of these families and make sure these children get to eat a nutritious meal each day at school.  I used to look forward to school lunches each day. I am sure these children feel the same!”
