GoFundMe Announces Donor Community Reaches 40 Million Worldwide

The world’s largest online donor community reaches new milestone as GoFundMe launches in new countries

Redwood City, California | June 9, 2017 — In a Medium post by CEO Rob Solomon, GoFundMe announced that its donor community has surpassed 40 million people amid expansion into new European markets.

“Our community continues to grow worldwide, representing nearly every country across the globe and raising billions for people and causes that matter,” said Rob Solomon. “We are always looking at ways to empower our community to help more people, and we are excited to announce our expansion in Europe to provide the tools, resources, and industry-leading customer service to our community in France, Spain, Ireland, UK, and even more countries to come ”

GoFundMe’s community is already global, with donations coming in from nearly every country around the world. GoFundMe has dedicated sites in six countries and multiple languages, and will continue to expand to bring more tools and resources to service its international community and help people around the world. Over the next few months, GoFundMe will start to roll out additional features to even more countries, for a total of 18 countries by the end of summer.
